TAMARAW GENERALS VISIT ALMA MATER

The FEU (ROTC) Sword Fraternity Alumni Association visited the university last September 30.

 

The group is made up of FEU alumni who hold high ranking positions in the Armed Forces of the Philippines .

 

President Lydia Echauz and Alumni Affairs Director Martin Lopez welcomed the esteemed alumni and toured them around the campus in the day-long event.

FEU POSTS SOLID IMPROVEMENT IN CPA BOARD

 

Carla Vanessa Legazpi, a 2010 BS Accountancy magna cum laude of Far Eastern University , landed 6th place in the board examinations for Certified Public Accountants issued this month.

Ms Legazpi had a rating of 94.57% and her achievement was the highlight in FEU Manila’s solid performance in this year’s exams. FEU’s overall rating was 75.95% (60 out of 79), well above the national passing rate of 48.36%. Also noteworthy was the 87.5% rating achieved by first time takers.

Congratulations to all new Tamaraw CPAs.

DANCE SPORT TEAM WINS IN CEBU

DANCE SPORT TEAM WINS IN CEBU

 

 

The FEU Dance Sport Team added another feather in their cap after winning top awards in the 2010 Cebu IDSF World DanceSport Open and 5th Dance Sports sa SUGBU at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Sixteen-year old Roseanne S. Cristobal (1st year, IABF) and her partner Benjamin E. Legaspi (1st year, IAS) were the champion pair in the Youth 3 Dance - Latin American category. The two wowed the crowd and judges with their outstanding Cha-Cha and Rumba routines.

Meanwhile, Judilyn S. Melencio (2nd year, IAS) and her partner won the Adult 2 (B) Dance - Latin American category.

The ballroom champs will take the floor again later this month when they compete in the National Champioships.

AMARAW WINS TOP PRIZE IN TOURISM QUIZ BEE

 

 

 

Tourism Management senior Gemaikel Jarangan emerged as the Champion in the 2nd Tourism Quiz Bee organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA).

Two other tourism management students also made it to the final round of the contest held at the Philippine Travel Mart in Megatrade Hall, SM Megamalll.

Lyceum of the Philippines settled for second place, while Polytechnic University Philippines placed third.

Other schools that participated included La Salle Dasma, CEU, PLM, San Sebastian, UST, St. Paul Manila and UE.
